It's a shame I didn't stop at my 26" Urban Man 7 Speed bike. If I had, I would've given it 5 stars and a glowing review for great packaging, instructions good enough to get me 100% of the way there and a solid bike that I think will do me well for years to come. Sadly, though, my story doesn't end there. I got to the 24" ladies bike for my wife. Same good packaging, same so-so instructions, but that's where the positive comparison ends. Two glaring items met me upon unpacking:
• The front brake cable was not attached to the handlebar.
This one I figured out how to do on my own and not huge. But still, where is the QA?
• The chain was wrapped AROUND the frame and requires me to undo the chain to get it "inside" the frame so it will be straight around the cogs. This is beyond unbelievable and so egregious that I wish I could just send the bike back. But I have ordered a chain tool and will try it myself. I am only so handy but these bikes have required me to learn new skills, so if there is an upside, that is it. I have photos of the chain if you don't believe me. The tech I e-mailed with didn't believe me or just didn't understand as he kept pointing me to Youtube videos. No, dude, there isn't a video for a chain wrapped around the frame. This is simply a mistake at the shop that was not seen before packaging or was seen and wasn't cared about.
Overall, I think the quality of the bikes is good. But if I'd had an inkling that I was going to have to become a bike tech, I'd have gone elsewhere. I know, some of you are thinking I'm whining and that this is the risk you take when you don't buy straight from a local bike shop. That's fair. Still, don't you expect for the chain, arguably the most important part of any bike, to be in the right place??

After trying my spouse’s Firmstrong bike I had to get one for myself. We both have the 7 speed models. They are sturdy and very comfortable. Shipped as promised and easy to assemble. Best bike I’ve ever owned.
I had this beach bike for over a year four years ago, but someone stole it at our campsite. He seems like a long time the bike was out of stock so I sort of gave up and finally found it on your site. Bought it and am extremely happy.. I’m 6 foot and a little over 2 inches ,208 pounds .,..this bike fits me perfect! It looks great. The orange color is beautiful and the quality is excellent.

Does my bike come fully assembled?
The bike is 85% assembled and packed in a bike box when the bike is delivered. You'll need to attach the front wheek, handlebar / stem, seat post / saddle, pedals and accessories. Refer to your owner's manual for assembly instructions or check out our handy video tutorials.
We understand everyone's ability and confidence to assemble bikes will vary, so we're here to help! Contact us if you need some tips, or check in with your local bike shop.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Most of our orders are delivered using FedEx and USP Ground services and arrive within 5 days after the order is processed, depending on where in the country you’re located.
